Constructing Opportunity is the A/E/C industry’s premier provider of leadership development and mentoring programs, diversity awareness and people skills training, with an emphasis on increasing the number of women in management positions at all levels across the industry. WHY WE DO THIS
Today women make up almost 50% of the US workforce, and only 9% of the Construction workforce, of which only 2.8% are employed in a managerial or professional capacity. Research has shown that having women in leadership positions is good for business. In 2014, Forbes reported “…in the companies that have the top 20% of financial performance, 27% of leaders are women. Among the bottom 20% of financial performers, only 19% of leaders are women.” Our goal is to increase the number of women in leadership positions within the A/E/C industry by raising awareness and preparing all to lead.
